"Chessboard As Code Art" by V.I.T.R.I.O.L. - Metacortex Records

Far from a state too dependent on representational thinking, music generated by the machine has distanced itself from the standard way of making music. No longer a musician and an instrument, with lines of code it is possible to orchestrate an immense range of instruments by a single person, this makes this artistic meander more accessible and much less distant from doing so. However, 21st century music has been completely permeated by computational use and its respective advances and we are left with one question. Does music continue to be music in the artistic sense or just "noise?"

Computer music does not become second-rate music or fake music without "feeling", but as we are used to clinging to a pre-existing ideal form of what "music" is, a rupture is necessary, an advancement in the thinking that often arises precisely by throwing it out the window.

A totally different machinery with capacities, capacities and places that a person with different instruments would never be able to reach, choosing different noises and increasing the rhythm to where the machine allows the development of sinuous and rhizomorphic plots where representation and the established no longer have a function, but rather an affirmation that it is possible to create something new, different ways of making art, perhaps it is this same thought that led many to make boredom something great.

"Chessboard As Code Art" by V.I.T.R.I.O.L. is a fascinating exploration into the realm of computer-generated music and its philosophical implications. This EP is going to challenge traditional notions of music by embracing the capabilities of computational technology to create unique sonic landscapes. V.I.T.R.I.O.L. invites listeners to reconsider their assumptions about music and the role of technology in its creation. It serves as a reminder that art is constantly evolving and that embracing new forms and methods of expression can lead to exciting and transformative experiences.
